Merraton Park is part of Larundel Pastoral Co, a significant pastoral property of approximately 3,000 acres—breeders of fine merino wool and prime lambs. Originally established by the Austin family in the mid 1870s, LPC boasts an outstanding historic Victorian house (Larundel) whose gardens are often open to the public through the Victorian Open Garden Scheme.
